Independence Day Celebration
It’s so inspiring to celebrate the 105th Polish Independence Day among talented young musicians from Z. Noskowski Music School in Gdynia (Poland).
Gdynia has been my home since June 2022 – it’ll be a great pleasure to sing for my new neighbours and local community and to celebrate together!

Mieczysław Weinberg odszedł w 1996 roku, w epoce “końca historii”, w której wychowywało się, dorastało i uczyło życia pokolenie dzisiejszych czterdziestolatków.
Potem był 11 września 2001, Krym 2014, wreszcie 24 lutego 2022 r.
W 2023 roku, dokładnie na tej samej granicy, przez którą w 1939 roku uciekał Weinberg, nadal koczują ludzie.
W pieśniach Mieczysława Weinberga, jak w stłuczonym zwierciadle, odbija się nasz świat współczesny. Świat XXI wieku okazał się kolejnym kołem zataczanym przez historię. Odbijamy się też my – przechodnie, świadkowie, biografowie, samarytanie, ofiary, ozdrowieńcy, ocaleni, mordercy, kaci, szabrownicy.
W 27. Rocznicę śmierci Weinberga oraz 366 dzień wojny w Ukrainie zapytajmy:
Kim jestem w tym nowym rozdaniu historii? Kim jesteś Ty?
Niech muzyka Mieczysława Weinberga pomoże nam stanąć w prawdzie wobec samych siebie.

Mieczysław Weinberg passed away in 1996, in the middle of the “end of history” era, the period which raised the generation of people now in their forties.
Than came 9/11/01, Crimea 2014, 24 of February 2022.
In the year 2023, on the same border which Weinberg crossed, fleeing eastwards in 1939, people still fight for their lives.
Mieczysław Weinberg songs reflect our reality as in a broken mirror. The world of the XXIst century happened to be no more than the history’s next lap. We are reflected too – as witnesses, biographers, victims, activists, murderers, hangmen, saved, saviours, samaritans, healed, looters.
On the 27th Mieczysław Weinberg’s death anniversary and th 366th day of war in the Ukraine let’s ask ourselves:
Who am I in this history? Who are you?
Let the music of Mieczysław Weinberg help us to reveal the truth.

Weinberg – Mother tongue officially released!
Life and Work is a photographic film of sorts through which one used to look at great artists. Amid the rich collection of 154 musical pieces by Mieczysław Wajnberg, the songs for the bass voice composed to the lyrics by the Polish poets: Elżbieta Szemplińska-Sobolewska, Leopold Staff, Julian Tuwim and Stanisław Wygodzki, are a space in which life and work indeed become one.
These songs waited a long time to be discovered—some forty, some sixty years. Being able to perform them now is surely an honour. On the other hand, it is also a burden, but there must be a reason why it is happening to us right now. I’m deeply convinced it is merely a beginning of their journey. Each subsequent performance, each listening will make us understand them better, see clearly, even the things that Wajnberg couldn’t have seen himself. I do believe that is when a piece has any meaning at all—when it transcends us all.

Weinberg songs on II Jewish Culture Festival.
Almost 3 years have passed since our last performance.
Together we’ve world-premiered Mieczysław Weinberg cycles
“Triptych” op. 99 and “Profile” op. 88, in August-Kestner Museum in Hannover.
Quite suddenly and unexpectedly we’re performing those both Weinberg cycles again. I am more than happy to play Weinberg with Kasia again.
Everyone nearby is very welcome to attend this open-air concert in the heart of Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
Let’s hope together for a fairly good weather!

I’m more than happy to announce that my large artistic project with the aim to record all Mieczysław Weinberg songs for bass and piano continues!
I’ve been given a grant in a program “Mobilni w kulturze 2021” which enables me to record next planned Weinberg cycles:
